"...the way she combs her hair"

"The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she carries, or the way she combs her hair..."

-Audrey Hepburn

Insightful advice from Miss Audrey. However, I can't but help wanting to brush that hair of mine and pull it in a pretty, little, metal hair cuff. I've seen them pop up everywhere online. I hear Dries Van Noten started this ponytail trick in the Fall 2011 show, H&M has sold a gold hair cuff in the past, and Sandra at five inch up did her own take on these ponytail gems.

I was a bit of a copy kitty and purchased a pair of drip collars online (while working at the library on a Friday evening after a long, long week--don't judge me!)

set of two drip collars in stainless steel, $9

Some other pretty options I came across:

a lovely leopard calf hair cuff from etsy, $70

oh my stars! love these gold stars, which are really metal napkin rings...

"The bun in the oven's passion for fashion"

Start a book list for my future daughter, check. Although that bun in the oven is a long ways away.

Adorable and sweet is "This Little Piggy Went to Prada" by Amy Allen. It has beautiful illustrations and makes a perfect gift for all little girls and budding fashionistas. I'm thinking of getting it as a cute coffee table book myself...

Amy also has "This Little Piggy Got a Divorce" on the shelves, which I think is hilarious (though it is meant to be a sympathetic guide on the realities of divorce and significant relationships so it goes to say I won't be putting that one on my coffee table)

Words of Wisdom

Love this little reminder to have fun every once in a while. First day of classes was today, and though I'm a work hard-play hard gal, my new year's resolution is to be organized and prepared since I'm taking extra classes this term!

Teen Vogue on Elle Fanning

How fresh and pretty does Elle look in these shots from her photoshoot with Teen Vogue?

All the reds and girly dresses remind me of spring and Valentine's day--and her eyes are absolutely stunning with the turquoise water.

"Did I lock my door?"

"...yes"

Did you watch this little clip yet? I find myself guilty on several accounts: the "could you do me a huge favor?" and the obnoxious "who are you talking to?" at 0:37--and I'm a pro at the omg face at 0:40. The people at shit girls say have us ladies down. And the more I watch this clip, the more I'm convinced the actor makes a really pretty girl.

"How do you stack up?"

My favorite, favorite, favorite accessory (...besides my usual must haves: painted nails, phone, pearl studs...) is good arm candy (ooooh, don't forget sunglasses too), okay--well, out of jewelry options, I can confidently say that I would prefer bracelets, watches, and wrist wraps over necklaces, rings, or earrings ANY day. I love a layered look to add complexity (the more the merrier, right?) but sometimes a simple stack is nice as well.
